White-necked Jacobin

Tropical Birds

Florisuga mellivora are hummingbirds. They can be found in a variety of habitats from humid forest canopies, to tall second growth forests,  and even in coffee and cacao plantations. They have a broad range feeding on nectar and small arthropods; occasionally, many will concentrate at flowering trees where they are aggressive and even territorial to one another.

I visited a place in Honduras that had over 300 hummingbird feeders. It had hundreds of hummers zooming everywhere. My photography skills are not great, but I was able to capture this little guy resting.
